Bumble Bee Orchard – Modular Home

This year, Kitchens By Design is embarking on an exciting new journey: building a home! While we’ve always specialized in kitchens, our expertise extends beyond that. We’ve tackled everything from bathrooms and offices to basements, complete main levels, and home additions—but constructing an entire home is a first for us. I’ve had the pleasure of working with some amazing clients—now friends—in Saint Paul. Over the years, I updated their kitchen and two bathrooms, and this spring, they approached me with an exciting new opportunity. They had purchased an apple orchard that included a charming, though somewhat outdated, home. While I was eager to assist with the renovations, we quickly realized that the existing house didn’t align with their vision. After parting ways, they began exploring modular homes and potential new builds. About a month later, I had a vivid dream where I was assisting them with their new home. To my surprise, just two weeks after that, they reached out via email to see if I would reconsider managing the project for their modular home construction.

I couldn’t resist the challenge! I thrive on new experiences, and this project offers a fantastic opportunity for learning. As of this month, we’ve officially kicked things off with excavation at Bumblebee Orchard, and I can’t wait to share more updates as we progress.
